South African Past Exam Papers and Memos
Grade 10, 11 and 12 past papers and marking guidelines for every subject we cover — free, offline, on Android and iOS.

There is no shortage of past papers in South Africa. There is a shortage of past papers you can actually find at 10pm on a phone with 200MB of data left, without hitting three broken links and a pop-up.
TZ Studios builds one free app per subject. Each one carries the official Department of Basic Education past papers and memoranda for Grade 10, 11 and 12 together, sorted by year, term and topic, and every one of them works completely offline once downloaded.
On top of the papers, each app adds the thing a PDF cannot: an AI tutor that works a question out step by step, physics simulations you can change and watch, flashcard decks for the recall-heavy subjects, and timed practice quizzes that mark themselves.

How to actually use a past paper
Downloading papers is not studying. This is the loop that moves a mark.
- 01
Pick a paper you have not seen
Choose a full past paper from a year you have not worked through. Recent papers matter most, but older ones repeat the same question types, so do not skip them.
- 02
Write it under exam conditions
Full time limit, no notes, no phone in reach. A paper you did with the memo open teaches you nothing about what you actually know.
- 03
Mark yourself against the memo
Use the official marking guideline and mark strictly. Method marks matter — mark them the way an examiner would, not the way you wish they would.
- 04
Work through every mistake
For each lost mark, find out why you lost it. Ask the AI tutor in the app to work the question out step by step until you can redo it from a blank page.
- 05
Repeat the question type, not the paper
Find three more questions on the same topic from other years and do those. Papers repeat their patterns — that is the entire reason past papers work.

Write a full paper under exam conditions, mark it strictly against the official memorandum, work through every mark you lost until you can redo the question from blank, then find three more questions on the same topic from other years.
Every paper. Every memo.

A learner shouldn't need airtime, a tutor or a working website to pass.
